Social Media Intern
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media and has the curiosity to know what’s trending before it hits the timeline. You’ll be the eyes and ears of Terracotta—spotting conversations we should join, surfacing insights from the AI/startup/tech community, and engaging with people in a way that’s sharp, human, and fun, and establishing our voice and brand across different platforms.
What you’ll do
- Monitor (Instagram, Threads, X and Rednote) for conversations around AI, startups, productivity, and tech—surfacing the right ones for us to engage in.
- Draft and publish witty, insightful posts and replies under Terracotta’s account to amplify our presence and grow our network.
- Spot cultural moments, memes, or debates we can join in real-time.
What we’re looking for
- You’re online a lot (really, a lot) and you actually enjoy it.
- You understand the cultural nuances of various social media platforms and various personas including leading AI voices, lawyers, founders, builders, and meme accounts.
- You have a sharp, witty writing style that fits in with internet culture.
- You’re curious, fast, and unafraid to experiment.
- A big plus if you’ve already built an engaged following yourself.
- Another plus if you’re fluent in both English & Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)
Notes:
- Our internships are open to undergraduate and master’s students across engineering, business, and other fields. Whether you’re a first-year or a final-year student, you’ll be collaborating closely with our team as we build technology with real impact.
- High-performing interns will have the opportunity to become a full-time member upon graduation.
- Winter (from mid December to late January)
- Spring (from early February to late May)
About
We believe that people who put their minds to it, can change the world for the better. Our mission is to empower humans to be the change they want to see, with the help of AI.
The first step in our journey is to build the best suite of AI tools for lawyers, automating the grunt work using a combination of frontier research and innovative, human-centred design. We enjoy tinkering with technology and coming up with wacky ideas to figure out how to better serve people.
Our team is incredibly small, diverse and talent dense. We love people who feel unsatisfied with the status quo, the round pegs in the square holes, and honour those who stand for themselves and are passionate about what they do.
We’re based in Hong Kong, and are keen to put our beloved city on the world’s tech map. Our investors include MiraclePlus (formerly Y Combinator China) and Lu Qi (former COO of Baidu).
If there appears to be a fit, we'll reach out to schedule an interview. After, we'll schedule an onsite where you'll work on a small project, discuss ideas, and meet the team.
